ROSCO 1000 I Community & Supporter Update
I'm approaching my 75th year with a rocket-powered land speed car in my workshop, which means I'm certainly not done yet.
People have been waiting for me to walk away from this and have questioned my and my team's ability to achieve a new land speed record for several years. My answer is always the same: “Sorry to disappoint you, but this is unfinished business."
You've been with me through the hard years, the builds, the setbacks, the attempts that didn't go the way we wanted. You know this story better than most. So, I want to be the one to tell you: we are moving forward. And there's a lot to share.
THE MISSION: What We're Doing & Why It's Different
Let me be straight with you about what we're doing and why this time it is different.
We are going after the world land speed record. On Australian soil. That's the mission, not a number, not a milestone, the record itself. 1,000 mph (1,600 km/h) is how we prove this car's capabilities. The record is what we're here for.
I've spent more of my life on this than most people spend on anything. Not because I'm stubborn, well, maybe a little, but because I genuinely believe Australia and the motor racing world deserve to see this record broken. A world record, built here, driven by an Australian, on our own ground.
This is a national story about resilience, innovation, and the refusal to accept limits. And we are closer than we have ever been.
WHAT'S NEW: Fresh Look, Real Progress
We've been doing a lot of work behind the scenes, and some of it you can now see.
The website has had a serious refresh, a new homepage, a rebuilt donations page, and is cleaner and sharper all around. It's built to match where this mission is headed. Have a look and tell me what you think.
DID YOU KNOW THIS ABOUT ME?: The Man Behind the Mission
I want to tell you about the man who shaped how I see all of this, Ken Warby. If you've followed me for any length of time, you've heard me mention his name. He's the reason I believe what I believe.
Ken built Spirit of Australia in his backyard. No factory. No corporate backing. Just an Australian bloke with a vision and the kind of determination that doesn't care what people think. He took Spirit of Australia to 317 mph and set the world water speed record, which still stands today, nearly 50 years later.
Ken was my hero. He was proof that an Australian with enough belief and enough grit could stand at the top of the world. I watched what he did, and I thought, "That's the standard. That's what's possible”.
Everything I've built, every attempt I've made, every time I've gotten back up, Ken Warby is somewhere in that. I carry what he proved to me every single day. Now it's my turn to add to it.

PARTNER ALERT: Welcome to the team
I'm proud to introduce the newest member of the ROSCO 1000 team.
Concept Marketing Group has come on board as our Official Communications and Brand Strategy Partner. They get what this mission is about. Not just the speed, not just the engineering; the story.
Having the right people around you is everything. I've learned that lesson more than once.
If you or your business wants to be part of this mission, we'd love to hear from you.
STEP IN: Join the 8,000
I can't do this alone. I've never pretended otherwise.
We need thousands of Australians behind this. It is a $3.5 million mission to put this car through the sound barrier and into the record books.
You've tracked this journey for years. You know what it's taken to get here. If there was ever a time to step in, it's now. Every dollar counts. Every name matters. This record will belong to all of us.
AUSSIE GARAGE INTERVIEW: Get the story first-hand
Recently, I was interviewed by the great guys at Aussie Garage, and I shared my journey from driving my wild V8 motorcycle, Krazy Horse, and my rocket-powered go-kart to becoming Australia's land speed record holder and creating Aussie Invader 5R, one of the most ambitious engineering projects ever attempted.
Take an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Aussie Invader 5R, exploring its rocket engine, advanced aerodynamics, unique fuel system, custom aluminium wheels, safety systems, cockpit technology, and the incredible engineering that could make history for Australia.
Thank you and best wishes to all our supporters, sponsors and friends.
